Bruce Burton Office Policies

A girl and a boy smiling after visit to dentist. At the dental offices of Bruce Burton, D.M.D., our staff is ready, willing, and able to serve all of your dental needs. We not only want to help, but we are all trained in the policies within our office so that we can answer any question you may have as they come up. We want to make sure that you feel comfortable with how business is done in our office, so we make sure that our transparency is there for everyone to see.

Appointments

Our offices are open from 7:30 in the morning, until 5:00 at night, Monday through Thursday, to schedule appointments and see patients. We ask that you please do everything you can to be on time for your appointments. Should something come up to where you will be unable to make your appointment, we request at least 24 hours’ notice so we can fill that appointment with another of our clients. However, we also understand that sometimes missing an appointment is not able to be foreseen 24 hours in advance, so we ask that you give us as much notice as you possibly can. If you miss two appointments that leave us with under 24 hours of notice, we may have to charge a fee to cover the time.

Options with Insurance

When you come to our office, we will go through and see what type of insurance coverage your insurance offers. We can help come up with an estimation of what amount your insurance should pay for, but we cannot guarantee they will cover everything due to the different contracts that each insurance provider has. We expect you to pay for the out of pocket portion of your bill when you have your dental procedures done. From there, we will take the portion your insurance should cover, and bill them for it. We will then wait 45 days for them to pay that portion. If they have not paid their portion, or their entire portion, we will notify you, and request you pay the rest of the bill in full by the time that the bill hits 60 days from the date of service.

We work with many different insurance companies, and each are different, so we will always do our best to help estimate as accurately as possible, the type and amount of coverage you should be able to get. However, we are simply not a part of the insurance company, so there is never a guarantee that our estimates will turn out to be accurate.
