Teeth Veneers Hood River, OR
Issues Veneers can FixVeneers are a unique solution to a lot of different aesthetic issues. Veneers can be used to remedy some of the following problems:
|•||Too much space between teeth|
|•||Too little space between teeth|
|•||Yellowing or discolored teeth|
How do veneers fix this wide range of issues? They go over your natural teeth and can be made to fit over them however we see fit. So if a tooth is far away from its neighbor, we can simply have it crafted to sit in front of its anchor tooth and closer to it’s neighbor. It may be easier to understand how veneers are able to fix so many different issues once you understand what they are.
Porcelain VeneersPorcelain veneers are thin strips of porcelain made to look just like the front of a real tooth. They are essentially a mask that your teeth wear to appear more beautiful. They are able to last upwards of ten years, and remain beautiful and vibrant throughout.
We use porcelain to craft the veneers because it is so good at mimicking the aesthetic of a real tooth in both translucency and hue. Porcelain I also a tremendously strong material that is known to last a long time under fairly extreme conditions. With a porcelain veneer you can feel confident in both the beauty and the durability of your veneer.
The ProcedureTo have veneers placed may take two to three visits to our office to complete. During the first visit, we will prepare your teeth to receive the veneers by removing a small portion of the enamel on the front side and the top of the tooth. We remove the enamel so that the veneer will sit naturally on the tooth and not look too bulky or large.
Once the tooth has been prepared we will take impressions of the teeth to be sent to our dental lab so that they can fabricate a perfectly fit veneer.
Your second appointment we will have the veneers ready. We will place them over your teeth, carefully positioning them to assure the exact look you want. We will set them in place permanently using a permanent dental adhesive.
Care InstructionsIt is important that you take good care of your veneers in the same way you take care of your teeth – with regular brushing and flossing. It is important that you avoid chewing on very hard things (like ice) or using your teeth as a tool to open packaging. Treat them with care and you will be rewarded with long lasting, great looking teeth!
